Biopharmaceutical company Talecris Biotherapeutics sets IPO terms

Talecris Biotherapeutics, which manufactures plasma-derived protein therapies to treat chronic and acute diseases and disorders, announced terms for its IPO on Friday. The North Carolina-based company plans to raise $850 million by offering 44.7 million shares at a price range of $18.00 to $20.00. At the mid-point of the proposed range, Talecris Biotherapeutics will command a market value of $2.4 billion. Talecris Biotherapeutics, which was founded in 1995 and booked $1.5 billion in sales over the last 12 months, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol TLCR. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Citi are the lead underwriters on the deal. No timing has been announced.
