Biofuel company Coskata files for a $100 million IPO

Coskata, which produces renewable fuels and bio-based chemicals, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering. The Warrenville, IL-based company, which was founded in 2006, is backed by venture capital firms Khosla Ventures, The Blackstone Group, Advanced Technology Ventures and Total Energy Ventures. Coskata plans to list on the NASDAQ. Citi, Barclays Capital, and Piper Jaffray are the lead underwriters on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
