Neuberger Berman-led blank check company NB Capital Acquisition withdraws $250 million IPO

August 27, 2018

NB Capital Acquisition, a blank check company led by the head of Neuberger Berman private equity, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Monday. The company did not provide a reason, saying simply that it had abandoned the IPO. It had originally filed in October 2015 to raise $250 million by offering 25 million units at a price of $10.

The New York, NY-based company was founded in 2015 and had planned to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol NBCPU. Citi was set to be the sole bookrunner on the deal.
