Smart card maker, Gemplus, prices 35.8mm ADS near the top of the range

Gemplus International SA, a maker of smart cards for GSM wireless phones, pre-paid phone cards and access control systems that store, process and safeguard user information, priced 35,842,124 ADS (the equivalent of 71,684,248 ordinary shares) at $10.67/ADS (6.00 euros/share), near the top of its $9.86-$10.72 range. This deal is lead underwritten by CS First Boston. The ADS will begin trading on the Nasdaq Monday, and the ordinary shares are expected to open for trading on the Paris Exchange Monday as well.
