Cooler than you: Yeti Holdings files for a $100 million IPO

July 1, 2016

Yeti Holdings, which manufactures and sells durable, high-end coolers and outdoor gear, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering. However, the deal size is likely a placeholder for an IPO that we estimate could raise upwards of $500 million.

The Austin, TX-based company was founded in 2006 and booked $608 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2016. It plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol YETI. Yeti Holdings filed confidentially on April 12, 2016. BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan, Baird, Piper Jaffray, Jefferies and William Blair are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
