Lights out: Lighting Science withdraws $150 million IPO

Lighting Science Group Corporation, which designs and manufactures LED-based retrofit lamps and luminaires, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Thursday. It originally filed in February 2011 with a proposed deal size of $150 million.

The Satellite Beach, FL-based company was founded in 1988 and booked $88 million in sales for the 12 months ended September 30, 2013. It had planned to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol LSGC. were set to be the joint bookrunners on the deal.
