Monster, Inc. to hit public markets: Consumer electronics maker files for a $30 million IPO

Monster Digital, which sells action cameras, memory products and other branded consumer electronics, filed on Tuesday with the SEC to raise up to $30 million in an initial public offering.

Monster Digital licenses the brand from Monster, Inc., owned by Noel Lee.

The Simi Valley, CA-based company, which was founded in 2007 and booked $11 million in sales for the 12 months ended June 30, 2015, plans to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol MSDI. Monster Digital filed confidentially on August 12, 2015. Joseph Gunnar & Co. and Axiom Capital Management are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
