8point3 Energy Partners LP, a solar energy yieldco formed by photovoltaic cell manufacturers First Solar and SunPower, filed on Tuesday with the SEC to raise up to $50 million in an initial public offering.
The San Jose, CA-based company, which was founded in 2015 and booked $9 million in revenue for the 12 months ended December 31, 2014, plans to list on the NASDAQ. Goldman Sachs and Citi are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed. It has not selected a ticker.
