Generac Portable Products, a leading maker of engine-powered tools (portable generators, pressure washers) for consumers and industry, withdrew its proposed $108 million IPO. The company had hoped to sell 8 million shares at $13-$15, then revised the terms to 8.67 million at a range of $12-$13. Lead underwriter Morgan Stanley Dean Witter was scheduled to price the shares in July of 1999, but postponed the deal.
