Global pesticide maker Adama files for a $300 million IPO

Adama Agricultural Solutions, the world's largest producer of generic crop protection chemicals, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $300 million in an initial public offering. The company sells its off-patent herbicides (52% of 2013 revenue), pesticides (23%) and fungicides (19%) in over 120 countries.

The Airport City, Israel-based company was founded in 1945 and booked $3.2 billion in sales for the 12 months ended June 30, 2014. Goldman Sachs and BofA Merrill Lynch are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
